Opening Hours

The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah (the Garden) is open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. The Garden is closed on Christmas Day.

Entry

Entrance to the Garden is from Bells Line of Road at Mount Tomah. The Garden is well signposted.

Photography/Filming/Commercial Use Fee

The payment of your fee permits access to all public areas of the Garden not booked by another function, except in the case of portraiture photography which must take place in the Formal Garden. Other areas of the Garden may be used for portraiture photography after consultation with Garden staff.

Inclement Weather

As the Garden has no control over weather conditions, no refunds will be given in the event on inclement weather.

You may elect to postpone your booking to a later date (subject to availability) at no additional cost.

Payment

A booking may be secured upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit and completed booking form. Please note your booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation letter from the Garden.

The balance of the hiring fees is required to be paid one (1) week prior to your function. No filming or photography will be permitted unless all fees have been paid in full.

In the case of portraiture photography with a commercial photographer full payment of the fee will secure your booking, no deposit is required.

Change of Booking Time/Area

If you have made a booking and wish to change the time or location, please speak to our friendly staff by calling (02) 4567 3019 to check availability.

If you wish to cancel a booking please speak to our friendly staff by calling (02) 4567 3019.

All cancellations will incur a $55 administration fee. The balance of any monies paid will be reimbursed within four (4) weeks.

Should a venue booking be cancelled due to the Garden being closed or, in the reasonable opinion of the Garden, the venue is unusable for any reason the hirer hereby agrees and acknowledges the Garden will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss the hirer may suffer. The hirer hereby releases the Garden, its servants, agents and contractors from any claims, losses and liabilities which may arise because of a venue booking cancellation.

Equipment

Equipment or props (in addition to standard photographic for filming equipment) may be brought into the Garden by prior arrangement. The Garden is not responsible for items brought in by the applicant.

Please note the use of drones is bound by CASA regulations as well as state and federal law. A drone will only be permitted if it is compliant with those laws and regulations and is being operated by a qualified and licensed persons in a controlled manner. Please advise if you are planning on operating a drone during your booking and the Garden will provide additional terms and conditions to be adhered to.

Music and Public Address Systems

Quiet, pre-recorded music is allowed. Discrete use of amplified or public address systems is permitted. The use must not impinge on other users of the Garden.

The Garden reserves the right to to instruct the system by turned down or off should complaints be received from other patrons.
