Josh leads the Botanic Gardens Greater Sydney Aboriginal Strategy. A proud Worimi man of the Forster-Tuncurry area, Josh previously managed the Aboriginal Education and Programs team at the Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands and has been a driving force in leading Aboriginal cultural initiatives across New South Wales.
"Our organisation can play a pivotal role of showcasing the 60,000 + years of Aboriginal knowledge we have and how it can positively impact many of the current environmental and social issues we face both short and long term - not just NSW, but across Australia and around the world.
By getting our NSW government stakeholders, corporate partners, community organisations and staff on board, we can make a positive impact as an organisation towards cultural awareness, Aboriginal employment, community engagement and supporting all of our Aboriginal communities and organisations."
Josh’s passion is to educate and upskill people of all backgrounds and ages about Aboriginal culture, and how it is part of our everyday lives. Josh wants to continue to be a role model for younger Aboriginal kids to follow their passions, and to help them succeed through education and being proud of their culture.
