Blue Mountains' fine art nature photographer, Ian Brown, returns to the Garden with his latest collection
‘Implicity’ is an exhibition that blends the bold and subtle, to the simplicity of nature with a touch of mystery. Closely observed in the making, the photographs reward contemplation.
The subject may not be immediately
obvious, but it is always something unusual found in nature and faithfully portrayed: events, phenomena,
ephemera, details, rhythms, the familiar rendered unfamiliar, and strangeness celebrated.
Brown's work has appeared in numerous books, calendars, diaries, magazines and exhibitions, and the artist has supported many environmental campaigns.
He has been a finalist five times in the prestigious Australian Geographic ANZANG nature photography
competition. Ian is a regular exhibitor at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden due to public demand.
