Garden Shuttle Tour

Take a 20-minute tour in the Garden Shuttle.  Purchase tickets and view departure times at the Visitors Centre where the shuttle also leaves from or call 02 4567 3000 to see if there is a tour on the day you plan to visit.

Tours are $6.50 and free for Disability Pension Card holders, Foundation and Friends members and children 5 years and under.

Free Guided Walks

Take a walk with one of our Volunteer Guides to learn about the faciniating history of the Garden and see what's looking good.  Tours leave most days at 11.30am - see times at the Vistors Centre or call 02 4567 3000 to see if there is a tour on the day you plan to visit.

Group Tours

Organised groups must pre-book. Our Garden experts offer a personalised sensory feast of the Garden's seasonal highlights.

$12.50 per person.  To book phone 02 4567 3000.

Special Interest Group Tours

We run a program of special tours thoughout the year from Night Walks to Aboriginal history tours, Bird Walks and Bee Workshops - visit What's On to find out more.

Or for special interest groups we run 1.5 hour tours with an experienced guide with specialised horticultural knowledge. Tour content can be tailored to the interests of the group, for example proteaceae or conifers, or seasonal displays in the Garden.

When: Any day at a time to suit. All tours must be pre-booked at least two weeks ahead.

Self-Guided iPod Audio Tour

Hire an iPod Touch in the Visitor Centre for $12.50 (plus deposit or driver's licence required) and choose from one of these self-guided digital audio tours:

The 'Yenmara Bembulra Darug' walk will take you through native bush, passing plants that have been used by the traditional owners of Mount Tomah, the Darug, for thousands of years. 

The 'Botanic Tales Trail' tells the story of botany. From early explorers to present day botanists, this trail will take you on a journey to explore what connects our Garden with the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. 

Children's Self-Guided Treasure Quests

Follow the map to find the five trail stops and enjoy fun hands-on activities to learn about some weird and amazing plants. Answer the quiz questions to solve the puzzle and win a prize! Quest changes seasonally.

Collect your kit from the Visitor Centre.

Cost: $7.00 per child. Suitable for 6-13 years
