Investigate chemical control methods for Norfolk Island Pine stem canker caused by the fungus Neofusicoccum parvum.
The fungus Neofusicoccum parvum has recently been implicated in the decline of Norfolk Island Pines (Araucaria heterophylla) in Sydney. This disease has also been observed throughout NSW, Australia and New Zealand. Currently there are no chemical control methods. This study tests the efficacy of Phosphonate and Propiconazole in the control of Norfolk Island Pine Canker in plantations.
